Notes Category:GIS software Category:Map data sources Category:Navigation softwareThe present invention relates to a magnetic disc drive. More particularly, it relates to a magnetic disc drive capable of causing a magnetic head to stably follow a track even when a linear velocity of the magnetic head exceeds a prescribed range, by improving a seek operation of the magnetic head. In a magnetic disc drive, to increase recording density, it is necessary to reduce the distance between tracks. To satisfy such a demand, in a conventional magnetic disc drive, a linear velocity of a magnetic head is reduced to a prescribed range by increasing a rotational speed of a spindle motor, in a process of reading data from the magnetic head. In the conventional magnetic disc drive, however, there is a problem in that the performance of the magnetic head lowers when the linear velocity of the magnetic head exceeds the prescribed range.Stress-induced root growth, growth potential and carbon allocation in Zinnia elegans L. : I. Response to water stress. The annual herb Zinnia elegans L. has both the ability to survive and to grow in environments with high salinity. To study this salt tolerance, we compared the effect of water stress on Z. elegans and Z. echinata L. We found that Z. elegans was more sensitive to water stress than Z. echinata. Z. elegans showed irreversible damage to the photosynthetic apparatus after 24-hr drought, resulting in a decreased Fv/Fm ratio and in growth inhibition. The plants also exhibited lower Rubisco content, indicating a decreased carbon (C) assimilation rate. In addition, the induction of lipid peroxidation by drought was less pronounced in Z. elegans than in Z. echinata. Water stress-induced osmotic damage to the leaves resulted in an altered C allocation pattern. The total C content of leaves decreased after drought, while the relative proportion of C derived from C3 photosynthesis increased. The shoots of stressed plants contained considerably more C than control plants, in part because of a lower specific leaf C uptake rate. We concluded that the mechanism of C-sink strength of the leaf tissue was very similar in both Z. elegans and Z. echinata, while drought-induced C stress appeared to be stronger in Z. elegans.Frequent concurrent mutations of the GNAQ, GNA11 and CDKN2A genes in uveal melanoma patients of
